Table of the week: Octagons

For following the school rules, working hard in lessons and demonstrating teamwork.

The children are working very hard in Year 2. In Maths we are revising all of the different topics we have looked at in preparation for SATS . In English we have been looking at stories by significant authors and we have been reading Matilda. We have enjoyed asking questions and writing letters to the characters in Matilda and also pretending to be Miss Trunchbull to write Matilda's school report. In science we are focusing on plants, we have made our own cress seed plants and enjoyed eating the cress with some crackers and cheese.

We had lots of fun at the World Museum looking at the Terracotta Army and all of the other wonderful sites the World museum has to offer including the aquarium.

We have recently enjoyed taking part in a school matball competition where we played 11 other schools. We are very proud of the children qualifying to compete in the Matball  City final.
