The school's admission arrangements were determined by the governing body on 12th May 2021 following a 6 week consultation period.

This information is provided for entry into our Reception class in September 2022.

Please direct all enquiries for admissions at the school office.

Applications for Reception Class September 2022

The deadline for applications for a Reception Class place for September 2022 is 15th January 2022

The National offer Day 2022 is 19th April 2022

The arrangements for admission of children to school are under the control of the governors, operating through their admissions panel.  

Our admissions Policy can be found below with other useful guidance and links.

 For Reception and Nursery Admissions we require a copy of your child's full birth certificate along with proof address (eg Council Tax Bill)

The Supplementary Church form should be completed in addition to the Local Authority preference form by any applicants who wish to provide information to be considered under criterion 4 and 6 of the school policy.   The Supplementary Church form will be disregarded if the applicant does not also name Kirkdale, St. Lawrence VA Church of England Primary School as a preference on the Local Authority application form.

 Applications for In Year Transfers if you are new to the city

Applications for Nursery Class from 1st September 2022

Nursery operates five days a week, morning and afternoon sessions.  There is no lunchtime provision.

If you are a working parent and eligible for 30 hours of childcare please contact the school and we will help and support you with this.

For Nursery Admissions we require a copy of your child's full birth certificate along with proof address (eg Council Tax Bill).

Arrangement for Secondary Transfer

The school has close links with a number of Liverpool Secondary schools.  You are asked to complete an online application form to choose your child’s secondary school when they move up to Year 6.  

These are some of the Liverpool schools our pupils have moved onto:

Kirkdale, St. Lawrence CE VA Primary School follows Liverpool's Appeal Timetable

  • You must submit the notice of appeal form by 14th May 2021.
  • Appeal hearings to be held in June and July 2021.

We aim to hold all appeal hearings within 40 school days after the deadline. In some exceptional circumstances we may need to hold hearings after this date.  

We will give appellants 10 days notice of an appeal hearing date and time.

Due to Covid-19 there may be unavoidable delays in scheduling your school appeal hearing. This means that the normal timescales and process above may not be followed.
You will be sent further details once your appeal has been scheduled.


In-year appeals 

Appeals resulting from in-year admission applications will be heard on a date to be arranged within 30 school days of the appeal being lodged with the Authority.
